The purpose of this website is to help both professional upholsterers and do-it-yourselfers to improve their upholstery knowledge and skills. Whether your are an experience professional or an amatuer, you may ask for help or give advice.

hi stephen. i'm a teacher who is looking for a new direction for my own learning and have always wanted to learn how to upholster ( my uncle did this and i wish i had taken the opportunity when i was young)
i am looking for someone to train me as a work exchange arrangement as i would love to do my own furniture, i am not interested in running my own business.
i would like to thank you for your information and encouragement on this site and feel encouraged to go out and give it a try. i am a competant machinist and qualified Resistant Materials teacer ( everything from woodwork to blacksmithing) so hope this might be attractive to a potential 'tutor'.
